College Searches
As many students and parents begin to explore finding a college, the process can be overwhelming. Fortunately, many websites can help individuals narrow down their college search. These websites allow individuals to enter information about prospective majors, preferred geographic region, school activities, size, cost, and many other factors to complete a college search. Please refer to the following links to help the college selection process. Most of our students will use Naviance to do a college search and create a college list. Other suggestions include:
- College Search
- CollegeWeek Live
- CollegeXpress
- Education Degree
- Mytononmy
- Online Colleges in VT
- Varsity Tutors Scholarship
- Zinch
Students who are planning on applying to college should register to take the SAT or ACT exam. Testing takes place at area high school (though, not Winooski High School) on select days. Each test has a fee that needs to be paid prior to registration. Fee waivers, for those who qualify, are available in the Winooski High School office. Registration is completed online.
